Short-Term Programs

Five Day Residential Programs

The five day residential program is held once a month at our Windy Hill facility from Monday at 10am to Friday at 3pm. The week consists of program components such as CISM Debriefing, peer support, EMDR, TFT, addictions education and support, anger management, family concerns, future planning and follow up. Food and lodging are included in the program and the views from the facility cannot be beat.

Intensive Intervention Program (Double I)

The Intensive Care Program is incident specific. It is usually planned around specific events that have occured and provides an intense but limited treatment for the clients involved.

Returning Combat Veterans' Program (RESTORE)

With national statistics indicating 1 in 6 returning combat soldiers suffering from depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, this new program is geared specifically for those returning veterans who will resume their emergency service jobs at the federal, state, municipal, or local levels. We usually meet once a month from Friday through Sunday.

See our Military page for more information.

Line of Duty Injury Program

This is a specialized program offered by the On-Site Academy for emergency service personnel who have been injured in the line of duty, or otherwise suffering from a debilitating or career ending injury.

Sexual Assault Survivors Group (5 day)

This program provides a unique residential group setting experience for emergency service providers who are survivors of sexual assault, on or off the job, and are suffering with post traumatic stress reactions from the assault/s. We meet roughly every quarter at our Windy Hill facility. Throughout the five day program you will be guided by peer and clinical staff who are survivors of sexual assaults as well.

W.I.N.G.S. Program

The Widows/Widowers In Need of Grief Support (WINGS) program provides mobile crisis intervention, grief support services, defusings and debriefings, and quarterly residential groups for survivors of line of duty death, including child and family support services.

Extended Stay Programs

Extended Care Program (ECP)

Many times people who come through our 5 day program discover that they have an alcohol/drug problem stemming from the need to medicate away the pain of our critical incidents. We offer a comprehensive extended care program that is available from 30 to 90 days. During this stay our clients are provided with 1 on 1 counseling, attendance at AA programs, daily educational groups as well as peer support to help them get a solid foundation on their new found sobriety. The main object of the program is to stabilize our clients and prepare them to go back into their life with a confidence that they will no longer need to medicate away the pain that they are suffering.

Non-Residential Services

Limited space is available for outservice appointments. Not all services are available to all people or are appropriate in all situations.  Meeting with a staff for an intake is the first step to decide what services will best meet your needs and help you obtain your goals.

One-to-One Sessions: There are two levels of support staff at On-Site Academy:  Peer and Clinician. On-Site Academy's staff are highly trained in critical incident stress management and substance abuse and/or addiction.  We try and match people up with the staff person that will work best with them on their personal goals and needs.

Group Sessions: There are daily groups held for the Extended Care Program participants.  Some of these groups, such as Anger Management, Peer Support & A Way Of Living, may be available for non-residential participants.
